A life lived on stage
and behind it

Writing, directing, producing. A chronological record of the productions and moments that shaped how I think about leadership, collaboration, and craft.

Theater has been my longest-running creative pursuit. Each production has taught me something I couldn't have learned in a meeting room: about ambiguity, about timing, about trust.

This page grows as I revisit older work and add new chapters. Newest entries appear on top.

Naatak: When Feelings Take the Stage

Wrote and directed Naatak, a play built on a single, mischievous premise: when inner feelings get acted upon, they don't stay inner. They walk onstage, take seats at the dinner table, change the temperature of a room. The piece followed the small, comic, painful physics of a relationship, with music and humor carrying the weight of subjects too tender to say plainly.

Shodh: A Farmer at the Edge

Wrote and directed Shodh, a search for hope set against the farmer-suicide crisis. The first half dwells in silence: a man, his wife, and the slow weight of a failing field. The play asked a quiet, urgent question: when the world stops giving back, where does inner strength actually come from? The drama earns its name by refusing easy answers.

Shodh: The Flock that Held Him Back

The answer arrives on hooves: the farmer's sheep and goats, masked and mythic, become unlikely friends and quiet voices of hope. Shodh makes its case gently. Positivity often lives in the company we keep, and the deepest friendships don't always speak our language. The play won Best Director and runner-up for script, and proved its argument by moving an audience to listen.

Jungle: When the Tigers Spoke

Wrote and directed Jungle, a satirical drama where two tigers, painted gold and striped, took the stage to tell humans what extinction looks like from inside the species. Sarcastic humor framed the urgent message: poaching, habitat loss, and an ecosystem unraveling. The play swept Expressions '11, winning 17 of 20 awards (including Best Director and Best Writer) and earned coverage in the local press.

When the Forefathers Spoke

Wrote, directed, and acted in a comedy-drama about a young couple tempted to sell the family inheritance for an easy payday. The twist arrives when their forefathers step out of the framed windows on stage and remind them what tradition is actually worth: that wealth lives not in the selling, but in the keeping, and the building from what's already been handed down.

Incomplete Countdown: After the Final Whistle

I created and collaborated with a celebrated film and theater playwright (who also wrote and directed) to bring Incomplete Countdown to life. The play follows a football player searching for purpose after losing his legs. It was my first chance to collaborate alongside seasoned professionals. The experience reached well beyond rehearsal, into lights, sound, and stage building, teaching me how professionals think and create.
